Day 4 of Anvilympics 2016 basketball competition treat the fans with an exciting double header. In the first game, team dragon fireworks/Brady pharma keep its hopes alive for a finals seat as they escape a 46-44 nail biter over team GT radial/Broadway. Both teams missing key players in their starting five fought tooth and nail and the game was not decided until the final play. Best player of the game Chester " chicken curry" So brought his "A" game finishing with a game high 19 pts and 8 rebs. But it was a team effort as timely baskets by Jim Chiu, Ben Ching and Richmond Co contributed to a surprising victory. Benson Tan did a great job at point guard contributing 6 Rebs and 7 assists. Team GT/Broadway was led by Wilbert Uy with 17 pts. Ian madera contributed 12 pts and 10 rebounds, Chester Ngo could get his 3 pt game going grabbed 13 rebounds.
In the second game. An undermanned team Xcmd/Irish potato defied all odds as it preserved its unblemished record (4-0) with a 46-45 squeaker. Best player of the game Reymont Choachuy scored 8 of his 13 pts in the 4th quarter and hauled down 10 rebounds. But it was Yohann Sy's 3 point basket late in the 4th quarter proved to be the game winner. Eckhart Ang had 14pts, 6 Rebs and 3 crucial steals in the 4th quarter and provided the hassle for team xcmg/Irish potato. Daniel "big daddy" Dagdag had 12 rebounds. Team federal tyres/crown Asia pipes was led by Alex Tan with 19 markers. Earl Chua grabbed 10 Rebs. Denzil Li and Hans Perez could get their game going as their were hounded with foul trouble the whole game.
