ANVIL SUPPORTS NGOs SUCCESSFUL MEDICAL MISSION IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL

Last July 23, 2016, Anvil Business Club together with Tulay sa Pagbabago, Inc and One CDO (Non Government Organizations) conducted a successful medical mission in Gingoog City of Misamis Oriental. The project was organized by Mr. Vincent Lim and Ms Aileen Choi Go of Tulay sa Pagbabago with the support of Mr. Jelomir of One CDO and Anvil Business Club, represented by Stanley Tung and Fred Hui.

Gingoog City is one of the poorest city in Mindanano with a population of around 102,379 residents. Barangay 20 and Tagpako are two of the least developed barangays in the city and have always welcomed any outside assistance from private and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs). Around 700 less fortunate residents of Gingoog City from Barangay 20 and Tagpako were given free medical consultation, treatments and medicine, while packs filled with school supplies were distributed to the children. It was a truly heart-warming experience for all those present.

Quoting from the late Stephen Covey's book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People: Marilyn Ferguson observed, "No one can persuade another to change. Each of us guards a gate of change that can only be opened from the inside. We cannot open the gate of another, either by argument or by emotional appeal.”

Anvil Business Club has always opened its doors in providing opportunities for its members to engage in socio-civic activities to less privileged areas of society in the Philippines.ANVIL SUPPORTS NGOs SUCCESSFUL MEDICAL MISSION IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL
