Anvil Business Club donates P1M to GMA Kapuso Foundation for Taal evacuees

Anvil Business Club on Tuesday donated P1 million to the GMA Kapuso Foundation to aid residents displaced due to Taal Volcano's eruption.

According to Anvil's internal affairs vice president Hubert Henry Chua, the donation was a way of "giving back to society."
"It's very important. Lalo na, it's very, very much [involved] to the Taal Volcano," he said.
GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and GMA Kapuso Foundation COO  Rikki Escudero-Catibog accepted the donation.
Escudero-Catibog said the donation will be a big help as the foundation will begin conducting medical missions for evacuees at the end of the month.
"So talagang ang daming matutulong niyan kasi at the end of the month [...] magme-medical missions na kami dahil nabalitaan namin napakaraming bata ang merong mga upper respiratory infections," she said.
Escudero-Catibog also called for aid from the public.

"Right now nag-aapela tayo sa mga tao na ang kailangan talaga ng mga bata atsaka ng mga tao sa Taal-devastated areas is 'yung nebulizers," she said.
