Accelerate, Innovate, Move up! Autohub Group Founder Willy Tee Ten Hosts Anvil Business Club's First Face to Face Hybrid Event - Anvil Business Club Forum (March 29, 2022)
Automobiles is a necessity in life aside from food, clothing and shelter. That is why Founder Willy Q. Tee Ten (WQT) decided to go into the auto industry. The Autohub Group started in 1998, during the financial crisis, with their first Ford dealership which formally opened in 1999. Ford Makati quickly became the number 1 dealership in their first year.
With no background in the industry WQT became the youngest Ford dealer in the Philippines.
The business grew quickly the first 5 years with Ford and they opened multiple branches even outside Metro Manila and Luzon.
In 2004, Autohub bought out Nissan Gallery and Nissan Quezon Avenue which were losing money every year for 10 years.
They were able to turn it around within a year. After getting their second brand, they have been getting 1 brand every year since and now Autohub has 22 global car brands with 85 branches nationwide!
During the pandemic their growth did not stop. They have opened 3 new dealerships and 3 new brands during Covid time. Autohub has been cutting costs even during their expansion by opening multi branded car showrooms within the same dealership. This has helped them tremendously by saving on rent expense.
Autohub Group aims to be a one stop autoshop from car and motercycle sales, car care accessories, premium window films, car lease and rentals, aftermarket maintenance, body repairs and paint, trade in and pre owned sales, performance upgrades, 24/7 roadside assistance, automobile mobile app, 0% insurance participation and their own automotive school.
All insurance claims with more than ₱10,000 repair cost gets 0% insurance participation fee for the customer. Their automotive school is free of charge and graduates become car mechanics and technicians.
When WQT started Autohub Group it was his dream to employ 1000 Filipinos to help the Filipino people and the Philippine economy. But now, the Autohub Group employs more than 2000 Filipinos across all their brands and branches.
