Anvil Business Club (ABC) joins the rest of the
Philippines in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of
formal diplomatic relations between the Philippines
and China on June 9, 2005 at a formal dinner in the
Manila Hotel. ABC officers received formal invitations
to this affair which will be attended by President
Gloria M. Arroyo and five past China Ambassadors to
Manila, plus the business and political elite of
Philippine society numbering 800 persons.
Auspiciously, the major Chinese-language newspapers
like "United Daily News" , "World News" and others on
this same historic day of June 9 published the most
prominent news articles with 2 colored photos each on
ABC officers' recent 2-hours meeting with China
Ambassador Wu Hongbu.
The Chinese media news recognizes Anvil Business Club
as a fast-rising and dynamic force, whose 16
officers/directors and fast-expanding membership will
not only promote entrepreneurship and excellence among
the youth, but a catalyst for closer Phil-China
economic, trade, cultural and other cooperation. The
news reports quoted Anvil Past Chairman Michael Tan
saying that the Filipino-Chinese youth should visit
booming China at least once a year. ABC President
Wilson Lee Flores extended an invitation for
Ambassador Wu to speak at our prestigious "Anvil
Exchange Forum", and he had accepted.
The Chinese news reports said that the 2-hours meeting
of the China Ambassador and ABC officers were
conducted entirely in fluent Mandarin, covering topics
as diverse as Asian geopolitics, Chinese history and
economic boom, investment and trade opportunities, and
other issues.
Anvil Business Club strongly believes that the
Filipino Chinese youth and the whole Philippines
should benefit---not lose out on the innumerable
opportunities---from the amazing and breathtaking
China "Economic Miracle" which is now irreversibly
changing world history!
